About the Artist
As a young emerging artist, I am thrilled to share my journey in the world of visual arts - so far a journey that has been shaped by my experiences and education. Currently on the verge of graduating with a Diploma of Visual Arts at the Canberra Institute of Technology, I find so much joy in expressing my creativity through various mediums.
My artistic roots trace back to my early years growing up in Canberra, where I explored art classes across the city, from places like Lavender Art Studios and Studio MAP at M16 Artspace. These experiences laid the foundation for my passion and commitment to the arts.
My artistic journey was inspired and began during high school and college, where I completed an array of art classes across art, ceramics and photography. Recognition soon followed, with awards such as the People's Choice Award at the UC Creative Competition in 2020. Graduating high school brought further accomplishments, including the Visual Arts Award and receiving the David Moulding Award in Photography.
During my time at ArtKids Canberra, I served as an art assistant further immersing myself in the artistic community of Canberra. Eager to deepen my involvement, I am always on the lookout for opportunities to contribute to and engage with the local art scene.
My artistic taste is diverse and changing, ranging from bright paintings and pastel works to mixed-media creations. Craft has been a significant part of my life growing up, and I find great joy in crafting jewellery pieces, now beginning to incorporate them into my larger artistic works.
Focusing on impressionist styles, my art is characterised by the bold use of bright colours. Nature with its diverse elements is a muse for me, reflected in my landscapes and floral works. My vibrant hues capture the essence of the natural world and bring a sense of life and energy into my art.
As I further this exciting phase of my artistic career, I am eager to continue pushing boundaries, exploring new avenues of creativity, and contributing to the rich tapestry of the Canberra art community. Join me on this journey as I continue to evolve and share my unique perspective with the world through the language of art.
